If you don't already hold the appropriate NZTA Vehicle Inspector authority, we'll support eligible candidates through the training and development required to move into vehicle inspection.

Every inspection matters. Our Vehicle Inspectors help ensure vehicles meet New Zealand's required safety and compliance standards, helping keep our roads and communities safe.

Across our network, our teams undertake Warrant of Fitness (WoF) inspections for light vehicles and Certificate of Fitness (CoF) inspections for heavy vehicles, depending on the inspection services offered at each branch.

Depending on your experience and eligibility, opportunities may include:

• WoF Vehicle Inspection - light vehicles
• CoF Vehicle Inspection - heavy vehicles
• WoF and CoF inspection
• Training and development towards the appropriate Vehicle Inspector authority

What You'll Bring

Ideally, you'll already hold the relevant NZTA Vehicle Inspector authority for WoF and/or CoF inspections.

Alternatively, you'll need to be able to meet NZTA's qualification and experience requirements to be appointed as a Vehicle Inspector for the relevant inspection category.

You'll also need:

• A relevant automotive trade qualification or mechanical experience that meets NZTA requirements
• Experience working with light or heavy vehicles
• A full New Zealand driver licence
• A sharp eye for detail
• Strong reliability and sound judgement
• Good customer service skills
• A positive attitude and genuine team spirit
