About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance people leadership with operational excellence.

As Branch Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the Nelson branch runs safely, efficiently, and continues to deliver the high standards our customers and NZ Transport Agency expect.

You'll be the person who:

• Leads, coaches, and supports the team to achieve their best
• Creates a positive and productive team environment
• Ensures customers receive excellent service
• Maintains strong safety and quality standards
• Supports day-to-day branch operations and keeps testing lanes running smoothly
• Builds positive relationships with customers, staff, and key stakeholders

You'll be visible within the branch, working alongside your team and helping create an environment where people feel supported, motivated, and proud of what they do.

You will:

• Ideally hold a NZTA COFB Vehicle Inspector authority, or have the ability obtain one

• Have experience in a supervisory role, maybe you have been a Supervisor, Assistant Manager or Branch Manager before
• Have well-rounded technical skill and experience
• Bring excellent interpersonal skills to inform and coach customers and staff with differing levels of mechanical knowledge
• Be a proactive, approachable team member with ability to step up and lead when required
• Bring your passion for advocating for vehicle and road safety and the inspection industry as a whole
